Sermon (Hutba) of Mufti Ravil Gaynutdin, Chairman of Russia Muftis Council on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, October 26, 2012 (abstract) be to Allah, the God of the Worlds, the One who possesses Mighty, Power and Glory! Peace and Greeting to our prophet Muhammad, who performed his Mission and brought to us the Truth of Islam, and peace be upon his family and sahabas!
Dear brothers and sister!
My dear compatriots!
Assalamu aleikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu!
Today we, the Muslims of Russia as the Muslim all around the world celebrate one of our main holidays - Eid Al- Adha - Qurban Bairam.
From among 3 millions pilgrims more than 20 thousands of our countrymen performed hajj this year.
The word "hajj" stands not only for pilgrimage to the Holy Qaaba in Macca, but also it has the meanings of "aim". And I call you in those festive days to put an aim in front of you: to be constantly holding account in front of our Creator for all we do, try to compensate for any our mistake, to perform good deeds as many as we can. Allah gives us so many possibilities to acquire His favor, to get His reward! We have such a proverb "Ber rahmat men belyadan kotlara" (Tatar) which means that "One word "Thank you" saves from thousands of misgivings". For one word you say, you can get a huge reward. Give meals to those who are in need, help those who needs moral and financial support.

Eid ul-Adha
Consul General

Please accept my heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of Eid ul-Adha that is in the mainstream of Islamic moral ideals: charity, mutual respect and care to the people in need.
Eid ul-Adha is widely and freely celebrated in Russia, in numerous mosques, in homes and in families. These celebrations strengthen the traditions of Islam, enrich culture of different peoples in the Russian Federation and contribute positively the inter-faith dialogue and inter-ethnic cohabitation.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all Pakistani Muslims life in peace and prosperity, moral and physical strength, success.
